The 2019 annual awards banquet was held last evening to honor our Police and Fire Departments and to hold the annual Chamber meeting for new board members. Congratulations to the following recipients:

2019 Rookie Firefighter of the Year – Thomas Nagel

2019 Firefighter of the Year – Drake Monticelli

2019 Police Supervisor of the Year – Corporal Diamond Newton

2019 Police Officer of the Year – Officer Juan Gonzales

2019 Business of the Year – Trisha Cook-Keller Williams

2019 Ambassadors of the Year – Kandi Apple Cook and Ashley Dubois

The Chamber recognized both our current City Council and Mayor Mike Lamb for their service to Pooler. Jabron Webster, President of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, and Pam Southard, Executive Director of the Chamber, presented to both our Police and Fire Departments a check for $2,000.00 for their respective departments. A short annual meeting was held to elect new board members for the coming year.

It was a wonderful evening to honor those who willingly serve our community.
